One of the key points students should be aware of before registering for the exam is the cost of participating in the Digital SAT. The registration fees can be divided into two categories: required and additional. Let’s first take a look at the fee that applies to all international students.
Required Fee
The standard fee that students must pay during registration is $60. For students not taking the exam in the United States, an additional $43 international fee applies. This means that if you are taking the exam outside the U.S., your total payment will be $103.
Additional Fees
The amounts listed above reflect the required fee for every international student. Additional fees may apply for services related to test results or special requests and are valid regardless of whether you take the exam in the U.S. or abroad. These optional services and changes come with the following costs:
- Late registration fee: $30 (Applies to registrations submitted after the regular deadline but before the late deadline)
- Test center change: $25
- Canceling registration with a refund: $25 (Only if requested by the change deadline)
- Canceling registration after the change deadline: $30 (Must be done by 11:59 p.m. ET the Thursday before test day)
- Additional score reports: $14 per request (If ordered within the first 9 days after the test, the first 4 score reports are free)
- Rush order request: $31
- Receiving scores by phone: $15 per request
- Archived scores retrieval: $31
The total required amount to take the exam is $103. However, this amount may vary depending on the use of additional services or changes made to your registration.
